నలుగురు స్నేహితులు, వేటగాడు – The four friends and the hunter.
This is the first story among the great collection of panchatantra stories in telugu with moral. In this wonderful story, four animals are best friends and love each other. One day the deer goes missing and the remaining 3 animals find out that he has been captured by a hunter. This story is about how they work together as friend to trick the hunter and save their friend. Let us now start reading the first of many panchatantra short stories in Telugu with moral
ఒక అడవిలో కాకి, తాబేలు, జింక, ఎలుక మంచి స్నేహితులుగా కాలక్షేపం చేస్తుండేవారు. ఒక రోజు జింక వాళ్ళ సమావేశానికి రాలేదు. మిగతా ముగ్గురూ ఆందోళనగా ఎదురుచూస్తున్నారు. “కాకి, నువ్వు పైకి ఎగిరి, జింక ఎక్కడైనా ప్రమాదం లో చుక్కుకుందేమో చూడ వూ?” అంది తాబేలు.
కాకి పై కెగిరి,”అయ్యో! జింకని ఒక వేటగాడు వలలో బంధించాడు. ఆ వేటగాడు అక్కడ లేడు కనక, వెంటనే ఎలుకని నాతోతీసుకెళ్తా,” అంటూ ఎలుకని కాకి బంధించియున్న జింక ముందు దింపింది. ఎలుక తన పదునైన పళ్లతో వలని కొరికి, జింక ని బైట పడేసింది. జింక, “ఆహా! మంచి స్నేహితుల వలన ఎంత మేలు జరుగుతుందో!” అని ఆనందించింది.
ఇంతలో తాబేలు నెమ్మదిగా నడుచుకుంటూ రావటం గమనించి, “అయ్యో ! తాబేలు అంత నెమ్మదిగా వొస్తోంది, ఇప్పుడు హఠాత్తుగా వేటగాడు వొస్తే, నేను ఆకాశం లోకి ఎగరగలను,జింక,ఎలుకా కూడా వేగంగా తప్పించుకోగలవు…కానీ తాబేలు?” అని కాకి అంటుండగానే వేటగాడు వొచ్చి, తాబేలుని పట్టుకుని, తన దగ్గరున్న కర్రకి తాడుతో కట్టేసాడు.
“అయ్యో మన మంచి స్నేహితుడు తాబేలుని ఎలా రక్షించాలి ?” అని ఆలోచించి, ఒక పథకం వేసాయి. “వేటగాడు ఎలాగు చెరువు దగ్గరకే వెళ్లి తాబేలు ని కిందకి దించుతాడు.
జింక వాడికి కనిపించేలాగా ఒక చోట పడి, చచ్చినట్టు వేషం వేస్తుంది. దాని కన్ను పొడుస్తున్నట్టు నేను నటిస్తుంటా. వాడు అంతదూరం నడుస్తూ వొచ్చేలోగా, ఎలుక వెళ్లి , తాబేలు కి కట్టిన తాడు కొరికి తాబేలు చెరువు లోకి దూకేలాగా సహాయం చేస్తుంది.
తీరా అంతదూరం వేటగాడు నడుస్తూ వొచ్చేసరికి, హఠాత్తుగా జింక లేచి పరుగు తీస్తుంది, నేను ఆకాశం లోకి ఎగిరి పోతా,”అన్నది కాకి. ఈపథకం ప్రకారం వారు నటించి వేటగాడిని మోసం చేసి, ప్రాణరక్షణ చేసుకున్నారు.

Day-6 class 3-5 English Story: The Elephant and Friends
A lone elephant walked through the forest, looking for friends. She soon saw a monkey and proceeded to ask, ‘Can we be friends, monkey?’The monkey quickly replied, ‘You are big and can’t swing on trees like I do, so I cannot be your friend.’
Defeated, the elephant continued to search when it stumbled across a rabbit. She proceeded to ask him, ‘Can we be friends, rabbit?’
The rabbit looked at the elephant and replied, “You are too big to fit inside my burrow. You cannot be my friend.”
Then, the elephant continued until she met a frog. She asked, “Will you be my friend, frog?”
The frog replied, “You are too big and heavy; you cannot jump like me. I am sorry, but you can’t be my friend.”
The elephant continued to ask the animals she met on her way, but always received the same reply. The following day, the elephant saw all the forest animals run in fear. She stopped a bear to ask what was happening and was told the tiger was attacking all the small animals.
The elephant wanted to save the other animals, so she went to the tiger and said, “Please, sir, leave my friends alone. Do not eat them.”
The tiger didn’t listen. He merely told the elephant to mind her own business.
Seeing no other way, the elephant kicked the tiger and scared him away.
Then, the elephant continued until she met a frog. She asked, “Will you be my friend, frog?”
The frog replied, “You are too big and heavy; you cannot jump like me. I am sorry, but you can’t be my friend.”
The elephant continued to ask the animals she met on her way, but always received the same reply. The following day, the elephant saw all the forest animals run in fear. She stopped a bear to ask what was happening and was told the tiger was attacking all the small animals.
