Day-36 Class 3-5 We Love Reading: తెలుగు కథ : మొదటికే మోసం
ఒక అడవిలో ఒక సింహం, చిరుతపులి కలిసి ఉండేవి. రెండిటికీ వయసైపోవడంతో పెద్దగా వేటాడలేక పోయేవి. ఉన్నదాంట్లోనే ఏదోలా సరిపెట్టుకునేవి.ఓసారి వాటికి వరుసగా వారం రోజులపాటు తినడానికి ఏమీ లేదు. ఆకలితో అల్లాడాయి.
ఒకరోజు వాటికి ఒక జింకపిల్ల కనిపించింది. అప్పుడు సింహం... 'మిత్రమా, మనం ఎవరికి వారే వేటాడుతుంటే జంతువులు పారిపోతున్నాయి. ఈసారి ఇద్దరం కలిసే చెరోవైపు నుంచీ దాడి చేద్దాం' అని చెప్పింది. దానికి చిరుతపులి సరేనంది.
రెండూ కలిసి తెలివిగా వేటాడటంతో జింకపిల్ల దొరికిపోయింది. దాంతో వాటి సంతోషానికి అవధుల్లేవు.
సింహం 'కలిసి వేటాడాలన్న ఆలోచన మొదట వచ్చింది నాకు, అందుకు ముందు నేనే తింటాను' అంది. దానికి చిరుతకు కోపం వచ్చింది.

దాంతో 'అక్కడ ఉన్నదే చిన్న జింకపిల్ల. ముందు నువ్వు తింటే మొత్తం తినేస్తావు. ఇద్దరం కలిసే వేటాడాం, కలిసే తిందాం' అని చెప్పింది. సింహం ఒప్పుకోలేదు. మాటామాటా పెరిగింది. 'అసలు నీకు వాటానే ఇవ్వను. మొత్తం నేనే తింటా పో' అంది చిరుత.
ఈ గొడవంతా చెట్టుచాటు నుంచి ఓ నక్క గమనిస్తోంది. అసలే వృద్ధాప్యం, ఆపైన ఆకలితో అలమటిస్తున్న ఆ రెండూ ఎక్కువసేపు పోట్లాడుకోలేవన్న విషయం దానికి అర్థమైంది. గొడవ పడీ పడీ సింహం, చిరుత అలసిపోయి కూలబడ్డాయి.
ఈ గొడవంతా చెట్టుచాటు నుంచి ఓ నక్క గమనిస్తోంది. అసలే వృద్ధాప్యం, ఆపైన ఆకలితో అలమటిస్తున్న ఆ రెండూ ఎక్కువసేపు పోట్లాడుకోలేవన్న విషయం దానికి అర్థమైంది. గొడవ పడీ పడీ సింహం, చిరుత అలసిపోయి కూలబడ్డాయి.
అదే అదుననుకున్న నక్క గబాలున జింకపిల్లను లాక్కుని పారిపోయింది! 'అయ్యో కలిసి పంచుకోకుండా గొడవపడి ఆహారాన్ని పోగొట్టుకున్నామే' అని సింహం, చిరుతపులి బాధపడ్డాయి.

One day they saw a baby deer. Then the lion said, 'Friend, the animals are running away when we are hunting them. This time, let's attack both sides each one,' she said. Both of them hunted smartly together and found the fawn.
The lion said, 'The idea of hunting together came to me first; before that, I would eat by myself.' That made the leopard angry. She said, 'There is a small deer.
A fox was watching all this fight from the top of a tree. It understood that the two could not fight for long due to old age and subsequent starvation.

The lion and the leopard fell down tired from the fight. The fox thought the same thing and ran away after grabbing the baby deer! The lion and the leopard were sad because they had fought and lost the food instead of sharing it together.
