Day-23 Class 6-9 We Love Reading: తెలుగు కథ : కోడికోసం సూర్యుడు

కోడికోసం సూర్యుడు:
ఎండాకాలంలో వేడి ఎక్కువగా ఉంది. ఆ ఉక్కపోత తట్టుకోలేక జీవులన్నీ విలవిలలాడుతున్నాయి. ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ సూర్యుడిని తిట్టుకుంటున్నారు. కనికరమే లేదా అని చెత్తగా మాట్లాడుతున్నారు.

ఎండాకాలంలో వేడి ఎక్కువగా ఉంది. ఆ ఉక్కపోత తట్టుకోలేక జీవులన్నీ విలవిలలాడుతున్నాయి.

ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ సూర్యుడిని తిట్టుకుంటున్నారు. కనికరమే లేదా అని చెత్తగా మాట్లాడుతున్నారు. ఇది విని సూర్యుడు కోప్పడ్డాడు. తిట్టినవాళ్లకు బుద్ధి చెప్పినట్లవుతుందని తనకు తానే చీకట్లోకి వెళ్లిపోయి దాక్కున్నాడు.

దీంతో లోకమంతా చల్లగా ఉంది. వెలుతురు రాలేదు. ఒక్కసారిగా జనాలంతా చీకటి, చల్లదనంకు అలవాటుపడలేక సూర్యుడే కావాలని వేడుకున్నారు. ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ సూర్యుడిని రమ్మని ప్రార్థించారు. సూర్యుడి మనసు కరగలేదు.

ఒకరోజు పక్షులన్నీ కూర్చుని మాట్లాడుకున్నాయి. వారి చర్చల్లో కోడితో రాయబారం పంపితే సూర్యుడు కనికరిస్తాడని తేలింది. దీంతో కోడిని సూర్యుడి దగ్గరకు వెళ్లమన్నారు.

అక్కడికి వెళ్లి దయచేసి మళ్లీ బయటకు వస్తే మేం బావుంటామని చెప్పమన్నారు. ప్రాథేయపడమన్నారు.

మరుసటి రోజు సూర్యుడి దగ్గరకు వెళ్లి మళ్లీ ఆకాశంలోకి రమ్మని బతిమిలాడింది. ఆకాశంలోకి వచ్చే ప్రసక్తేలేదని సూర్యుడన్నాడు. ‘అయితే నేను వెనక్కి వెళ్లలేను. వెళ్తే అడవిలో పిల్లి కాచుకుని ఉంది. ఎప్పుడెప్పుడా’ అని అన్నది.

‘నీకు అవసరమొస్తే, ఆపదొస్తే పిలువు. వస్తా’ అన్నాడు సూర్యుడు. కోడి బయలుదేరింది. కొంచెం దూరం వెళ్లాక కాపాడమని గట్టిగా అరిచింది. నామీద దాడి చేస్తున్నారని అరిచింది.

సూర్యుడు బయటకు వచ్చాడు. కోడిని కాపాడాలని ఆకాశలోంకి వచ్చాడు. ఆ వెలుతురులోంచి కోడిని వెతికాడు. చెట్టుచాటున కోడి దాక్కుంది. సూర్యుడికి కనపడలేదు.

అప్పటినుంచి కోడిని వెతికినా సూర్యుడు కనపడటం లేదు. ఇప్పటి వరకూ ప్రతి రోజు కోడి కూసినవెంటనే సూర్యోదయం వస్తోంది.

అయితే ఇప్పటికీ కోడి ఎక్కడ ఉందో సూర్యుడు కనిపెట్టలేకపోయాడు. అయితే లోకానికి మంచి జరిగింది.

A dog and a snake

Two close friends, a dog, and a snake lived near each other in the forest. Since the snake was very long, other animals were afraid of it.

One day the snake was resting under a tree stretching out its whole body and the dog was passing by.

He saw the outstretched body of the snake and was surprised. Consequently, he also decided to stretch his body like a snake.

When the snake saw him doing this, it asked him, what are you doing?

The dog told the snake that he also wanted to stretch his body like you.

Then, the snake made him understand and advised him not to do so. Also, it told him that by doing so he might be harmed.

But, he didn’t listen to the snake, and suddenly his stomach burst resulting in his death.

The moral of the story is that we shouldn’t do any unnecessary work without understanding the consequences.

Day-23 Class 6-9 We Love Reading: Maths: Perfect Squares

Squares and square roots both concepts are opposite in nature to each other. Squares are the numbers, generated after multiplying a value by itself. Whereas square root of a number is value which on getting multiplied by itself gives the original value.
