Day-41 Class 3-5 We Love Reading: తెలుగు కథ : పిల్లికి సన్మానం
పిల్లి కాళ్ళకు గజ్జెలు కట్టాలని నిర్ణయించాయి. దాని కాళ్ళకు గజ్జెలు కడితే అది వచ్చినపుడు గజ్జల మోత వినిపిస్తుంది. అది విని తాము పారిపోవచ్చని అనుకొన్నాయి.
కాని పిల్లి కాళ్ళకు గజ్జెలు ఎవరు కట్టేది? గజ్జెలు కట్టడానికి వెళ్ళే ఎలుకను పిల్లి తినేస్తుంది కదా?
ఒక తెలివి గల చిట్టెలుక "కుక్క మామను పిలుద్దాం" అంది. ఎలుకలు కుక్కమామను కలిసి తమ ఆలోచన చెప్పాయి. కుక్క సరే అని పిల్లి దగ్గరకు వెళ్ళింది. "పిల్లీ! పిల్లీ! నీకు ఘన సన్మానం చెయ్యాలని అనుకొంటున్నాం.
నీ అంగీకారం కోసం వచ్చాను" అంది.“ కుక్క వచ్చి అలా అడగటంతో సంతోష పండింది పిల్లి.
పెద్ద ఎత్తున సన్మానం జరిగింది. ఎలుకలు "అందమైన దానిని నువ్వు. నీ కాళ్ళకు గజ్జలు కడితే మరింత అందంగా ఉంటావు" అంటూ పొగిడాయి. ఆ పొగడ్తల మైకంలో పిల్లి 'సరే' అంది. ఎలుకలు పిల్లికి గజ్జెలు కట్టాయి. ఆ వేదిక మీద పిల్లి హుందాగా అటూ ఇటూ తిరిగింది.
ఎలుకల సమస్య తీరిపోయింది. పిల్లి వచ్చిన ప్రతిసారీ గజ్జెల చప్పుడు వినిపించేది. దాంతో ఎలుకలు పారిపోయి ప్రాణాలు కాపాడుకోనేవి.

Once upon a time, there was a big cat in a house that loved to catch and eat mice when it was hungry. The mice in the house were tired of being caught, so they came up with a plan.
They decided to tie bells on the cat's legs so they could hear it coming and escape.
But there was a problem - who would tie the bells on the cat's legs?
A clever cat suggested asking our friend dog for help. The mice shared their idea with the dog, and he agreed. He went to the cat and said, "Hi! My dear cat! We want to honor you. I came for your acceptance," pretending it was for an award.
The cat was pleased and agreed. The mice complimented the cat, saying, "You are beautiful. If you are having bells on your legs, you will be even more beautiful." In the excitement of the compliments, the cat said 'okay,' and the mice tied bells on its legs.
From that day onwards whenever the cat came, its legs made a clattering sound. The mice heard it, ran away, and saved themselves. And so, the rat problem was solved, thanks to the clever plan of the mice and the help of the dog.
