Day-43 Class 3-5 We Love Reading: తెలుగు కథ : నత్తగుల్ల ఇల్లు
ఒక ఊరి పక్కనే ఒక చెరువు వుండేది. ఆ చెరువు దగ్గర ఒక నత్తగుల్ల వుండేది. ఆ నత్తకు ఒక చూడ ముచ్చటయిన ఇల్లు వుండేది. ఆ ఇల్లంటే నత్తకు చాలా ఇష్టం. రోజూ ఇల్లంతా శుభ్రంగా తుడిచి అందంగా పెట్టుకొనేది.
ఒక రోజు ఒక సీతాకోకచిలుక వచ్చింది. "నత్తమ్మా... నత్తమ్మా... నీ ఇల్లు చూడముచ్చటగా వుంది. నీ ఇంటిలో నాకు కూడా కాస్త చోటిస్తావా. నీతో బాటే వుంటాను" అని అడిగింది. ఆ మాటలకు ఆ నత్త “నాకే ఈ ఇల్లు సరిపోవడం లేదు. ఇంక నీకేం చోటిస్తాను, పో పో” అనింది. సీతాకోకచిలుక తిరిగి తిరిగి ఆ ఇంటి వంకే చూస్తా వెళ్ళిపోయింది.
ఇంకో రోజు ఒక తూనీగ ఆ ఇంటి దగ్గరికి వచ్చింది. “నత్తమ్మా... నత్తమ్మా... నీ ఇల్లు భలే బాగుంది. నాకు అమ్ముతావా, కొంటాను” అని అడిగింది. “లేదు...లేదు...నాకు వుండేది ఈ ఒక్క ఇల్లే. ఇది ఎవరికీ అమ్మను” అనింది నత్త. తూనీగ తిరిగి తిరిగి ఆ ఇంటివంకే చూస్తా వెళ్ళిపోయింది.
ఒకరోజు నత్త ఆహారం కోసమని బైటకు పోయి సాయంత్రానికి ఇంటికి తిరిగి వచ్చింది. వచ్చి చూస్తే తన ఇంటి లోపల ఒక కందిరీగ పడుకోని కనబడింది. “ఏయ్.... ఎవరు నువ్వు. నా ఇంట్లో పడుకున్నావు. లే లే” అంటూ నత్త ఆ కందిరీగను లేపింది.
ఆ కందిరీగ లేచి “నత్తమ్మా... నత్తమ్మా...నీ ఇల్లు చానా బాగుంది. ఎప్పుడో ఒకప్పుడు నీవు లేనప్పుడు ఎవరో ఒకరు నీ ఇంటిని ఎత్తుకుపోతారు చూస్తావుండు” అంటూ వెళ్ళిపోయింది. అలా... అన్నీ వచ్చి తన ఇంటి గురించి అడుగుతా వుండడంతో నత్తకు దిగులు ఎక్కువ అయింది.
రాత్రీ పగలూ నిదురపోకుండా ఇంటి గురించే ఆలోచించసాగింది. “నేను బైటికి పోయినపుడు ఎవరయినా వచ్చి నా ఇంటిని ఎత్తుకుపోతే...ఎట్లా” అని అనుకుంది. అంతలో ఆ నత్తకు ఒక ఉపాయం తోచింది.
వెంటనే ఒక తుమ్మచెట్టు దగ్గరకు పోయి బంకను తీసుకోని వచ్చింది. తాను ఎక్కడికి పోతే, అక్కడికి తీసుకోని పోయేందుకు వీలుగా తన ఇంటిని తన వీపుకే అతికిచ్చుకొంది. “హమ్మయ్య... ఇప్పుడు ఎవ్వరూ నా ఇంటిని ఎత్తుకుపోలేరు” అంటూ హాయిగా నిదురబోయింది. ఇదీ నత్త ఇల్లు కథ.

The Story of the Snail's HouseNear a village, there was a pond, and beside that pond lived a snail with a charming house. The snail cherished its home, diligently cleaning and maintaining its beauty every day.
One day, a butterfly visited and asked for a place to stay. The snail, feeling possessive, replied, "This house isn't suitable for you. I won't share it; please go away."
Another day, a dragonfly admired the snail's house and inquired about buying it. The snail firmly declined, saying, "No, this is my only home, and I won't sell it to anyone." The dragonfly departed.
During one of the snail's outings for food, it returned to find a bee sleeping in its house. Surprised, the snail questioned the intruder. The honey bee praised the house and warned, "Someone might steal your house one day when you're not around." Troubled, the snail pondered this possibility day and night.
To safeguard its home, the snail came up with a clever trick. It used gum to attach the house to its back, declaring, "Now, no one can take my house." And so, the snail lived comfortably ever after. This is the tale of the snail's house.
